DJ Jinx

DJ Jinx is a Detroit DJ, producer and radio personality whose passion for turntablism was sparked after watching the iconic 1992 film Juice. Inspired by the art of DJ battling, Jinx dedicated himself to mastering the craft spending countless hours perfecting scratches, blends and high-level performance on the turntables.

In 2003, Jinx began building his name in Detroit’s competitive DJ scene, connecting with respected local radio and club DJs who helped shape his early development. With their encouragement, he entered battles and competitions throughout the city, quickly earning recognition as a serious turntablist and becoming a sought after presence in Detroit nightlife.

By the mid 2000s, Jinx’s talent led to major opportunities, including winning a high-profile DJ competition that pushed his career into the spotlight. From there, he expanded beyond the clubs, taking his sound to larger audiences and growing into a respected on-air mixer and entertainer.

As his career evolved, Jinx began touring nationally, bringing Detroit energy to events and venues across the country. He also expanded into music production, creating records and collaborations with artists from around the world.

Today, Jinx is the founder and driving creative force behind 107.1 The Beat, where he continues to deliver high-energy mixes, support emerging talent and build a platform dedicated to the culture, the city and the future of Detroit radio.

With decades of experience and an unmatched dedication to the craft, Jinx remains committed to pushing the sound forward on the air, in the mix  and through every beat that moves the culture.
